AMSI provides high quality pro-bono short-term consulting services to not-for-profit organisations by leveraging the skills and experience of MBA students and alumni at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) in Australia.
Many not-for-profit organisations rely on external funding (government funds, grants from charitable foundations, direct donations) to maintain their operations and have limited resources that constrain their ability to acquire skills and expertise that external consultants can often provide.
The key to many of these organisations is not to become more corporatized or to increase their focus on becoming a ‘business’, but to improve their effectiveness in delivering their goals and having the greatest possible impact in the community.
